ICS2 (EU Safety & Security)

An ICS2 declaration is a safety and security declaration submitted to an EU country for goods arriving into the EU. An ICS2 declaration is required for all EU Imports from 1st September 2025 and is available through ClearPort. You can create standalone ICS2 declarations, or use existing imports to populate your ICS2 declarations straight from ClearPort ensuring a speedy and simple process with a minimal time requirement.

Who should submit an ICS2 declaration?

The Carrier of the goods is legally required submit the declaration, although it can be done by a third party on the carriers behalf.

I am a carrier based in the UK, can I submit ICS2 declarations?

Yes. The Declarant and the Carrier will need to have an EU EORI number, for example issued from France or Ireland. A Northern Irish EORI number is also valid. Get in touch with us and we can help you with the setup process.
