Submitting your first NCTS Departure

Important please ensure you have authorised ClearPort to submit NCTS declarations on your behalf before continuing.

Important please add a Comprehensive Guarantee or Guarantee Waiver before creating a departure declaration. Navigate to Standing Data > Guarantees.

  1. From the ClearPort Dashboard click on Create new departure or, from any other page, click on NCTS > Departures from the navigation menu on the left-hand-side, and click + New NCTS departure declaration.
  2. Add the declaration details.
  3. Click Save or Save and continue editing regularly to ensure you don't lose your work due to network problems.
  4. Once saved, click the Submit button to send the declaration to NCTS. After a few moments refresh the page, and you will be able to see the response from CDS.

Useful Tips

  • You can create a new NCTS departure from an existing export by navigating to the export and clicking Related Declarations > Link new NCTS Departure.
  • You can view the CDS completion rules for a specific data element by clicking on the data element number
  • Items can be uploaded from a CSV file
