Moving your Inventory Badges to ClearPort
Learn how to move your inventory badges to ClearPort.
Badges are used by inventory systems to identify the entity responsible for an import shipment. In order for ClearPort to be able to submit CDS declarations to inventory systems on your behalf, it is necessary to configure the badge correctly.
Step 1 - Contact Relevant Inventory System
- First you need to contact the relevant inventory system.
- When doing so you need to inform them that you wish to move your badge to ClearPort.
- They may ask you to specify a date for this to happen.
Step 2 - Add Badge
When the selected date occurs, you can then add your badge to ClearPort. To do this:
- Go to and click ‘Standing Data’ in the sidebar navigation.
- Then click on the ‘Badges’ badges button. This will take you to a page titled CSP Badges.
- Once you are on this page, click the button labelled ‘Create’ in the top left corner, next to the sidebar navigation.
- A page will then appear allowing you to select the appropriate Community Service Provider, enter your badge code, and there’s also the option to add a description and the goods location.
- When you have filled out the required fields of information, click the ‘Create’ button.
