Moving Badges to ClearPort

Badges are used by inventory systems to identify the entity responsible for an import shipment.

In order for ClearPort to be able to submit CDS declarations to inventory systems on your behalf, it is necessary to configure the badge correctly.

  1. Contact the relevant inventory system, and inform then that you wish to move your badge to ClearPort. They may ask you to specify a date for this to happen.
  2. Add your badge to ClearPort:
  3. Navigate to Standing Data > Badges and click Create
  4. Select the appropriate Community Service Provider and complete the required fields
