Air Freight

ClearPort connects with CCS UK, allowing you to quickly and efficiently clear your air freight at most major UK airports, such as Heathrow and East Midlands airports.

How can ClearPort help?

Setting up your CCS UK integration with ClearPort is simple, and we don't charge any extra fees for doing so.

Contact us and consider booking a demo where we can show you how to set up a badge and get started on ClearPort.

How does it work?

  1. A consignment is created by the person who is shipping the goods, and an Air Waybill (AWB) is generated
  2. The goods are shipped to the receiving airport
  3. The consignment is "nominated" to the badge of the clearing party
  4. The AWB, MUCR, HAWB and other consignment details are added to the declaration on ClearPort
  5. The consignment can then be customs cleared by the clearing party through ClearPort
  6. The goods are released for import

What is an Inventory System?

Sea ports need to keep track of their containers and trailers (their "inventory") whilst in port. To do this they employ the services of a Community Service Provider who provide a computer-based solution with various features to allow the port to manage their inventory.

The inventory system also allows shippers, hauliers, freight-forwarders and customs agents to manage their shipments with their own login.
